The Woodstock Navy Vets are pleased to continue the organization’s “Welcome to Anchortown” series with the signing of forward Jaxon Bagshaw for the 2026-27 season.
A native of Uxbridge, Ontario, Bagshaw joins the Navy Vets after spending the past two seasons with the Ajax/Pickering Raiders AAA program, one of the top organizations in the OMHA and a program that consistently develops high-end players. During his time with the Raiders, Bagshaw established himself as a reliable two-way forward capable of contributing in all situations.
During the 2024-25 season at the U16 AAA level, Bagshaw recorded 16 goals and 9 assists in 32 regular season games before elevating his game in the playoffs, posting 5 goals and 7 assists in just 8 postseason contests.
Last season, Bagshaw continued his strong play, registering 12 goals and 10 assists in 32 regular season games. Once again, he proved to be at his best when the games mattered most, adding 5 goals and 3 assists in 8 playoff games.
“Jaxon is the type of player every team needs,” said Darren Young, General Manager of the Woodstock Navy Vets. “He plays with a high level of energy, competes hard in all three zones, and brings a strong work ethic every time he steps on the ice. He’s a player who can contribute offensively while also being trusted in all situations, and we’re excited to welcome him to Woodstock.”
Known for his speed and relentless style of play, Bagshaw creates pressure on opponents with his work ethic and ability to impact the game at both ends of the rink. His combination of skill, compete level, and playoff success makes him an exciting addition as the Navy Vets continue building their roster for their inaugural GOHL season.
