Welcome to Anchortown: Navy Vets Sign Forward Emre Alves

The Woodstock Navy Vets are pleased to continue the organization’s “Welcome to Anchortown” series with the signing of forward Emre Alves for the 2026-27 season.

A 2009-born forward from Waterloo, Ontario, Alves joins the Navy Vets after a strong season with the Waterloo Wolves U18 AAA program, where he established himself as a productive offensive player and an important contributor to one of the region’s top teams.

During the 2025-26 season, Alves recorded 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points in 64 regular season games. He continued his strong play when the stakes were highest, producing at a point-per-game pace in the postseason with 3 goals and 8 assists in 11 playoff games.

“Emre is a player we’re excited to add to our group,” said Darren Young, General Manager of the Woodstock Navy Vets. “He brings speed, competes hard every shift, and has the ability to contribute offensively. He’s the type of player that can impact the game in a lot of different ways, and we believe there’s still plenty of upside in his game.”

Known for his skating ability and work ethic, Alves consistently creates pressure on opponents with his speed and determination. His offensive instincts, combined with his willingness to compete, make him an exciting addition as the Navy Vets continue to build their roster for the 2026-27 season.

Alves’ strong playoff performance also demonstrated his ability to elevate his game when it matters most, a quality that is highly valued within the organization as it continues to assemble a competitive team for the upcoming season.

The Woodstock Navy Vets would like to welcome Emre and his family to the organization and look forward to following his continued development in Anchortown.
