The Woodstock Navy Vets are pleased to continue our ‘Welcome to Anchortown’ series by welcoming back hometown forward Kingston McPherson for the 2026-27 season.
McPherson, a Woodstock native, returns after spending last season with the Navy Vets, gaining valuable junior experience and establishing himself as an exciting young player within the organization.
Kingston brings a combination of pace, physicality and compete to the lineup. He plays the game with energy, gets involved all over the ice and has the ability to make an impact at both ends of the rink.
“We’re really excited to have Kingston back,” said Darren Young, General Manager of the Woodstock Navy Vets. “He plays with a ton of pace and isn’t afraid to play physically. He’s committed to playing a complete 200-foot game and has the ability to make plays at both ends of the rink. We saw a lot of growth from him last season, and we’re excited to see him take another step this year.”
The 2008-born forward is one of several familiar faces making the move with the Navy Vets into the GOHL this season. Having already spent a season within the organization, Kingston understands what it means to represent the Navy Vets and his hometown community.
With his combination of speed, competitiveness and two-way ability, McPherson has the tools to impact games in a number of different ways.
The Woodstock Navy Vets are excited to welcome Kingston back to Anchortown and look forward to watching another local player continue his development in a Navy Vets uniform.
