A good effort from a young Vets lineup tonight, but the Warriors pull away in the third to take a 4-1 win.
After falling behind 1-0 in the first, the Vets battled through a scoreless second before Matthew Hong tied it early in the third on the power play, finishing a great feed from Will McGregor.
The game remained tied until midway through the third when Stratford struck twice in quick succession before adding an empty-netter late.
Ian Kubelka was sharp in the start, stopping 19 of 20, while Ryder Kowtaluk stopped 16 of 18 in relief.
Lots to build on from a solid effort tonight.
