The Woodstock Navy Vets are proud to congratulate three members of the organization on being selected in the 2026 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection and U18 Priority Selection.
Defenceman Sebastien Fortin was selected by the North Bay Battalion in the fifth round, 92nd overall, of the OHL Priority Selection. The 2010-born Woodstock native joined the Navy Vets after an outstanding season with the Vaughan Kings U16 AAA program.
Forward Joshua Jodoin was selected by the Soo Greyhounds in the seventh round, 133rd overall, of the OHL Priority Selection. The 2010-born forward spent last season with the Mississauga Reps U16 AAA program.
Goaltender Landyn Quirk was selected by the Guelph Storm with the seventh overall pick in the OHL U18 Priority Selection. The 2009-born netminder joins the Navy Vets following a strong season with the Kitchener U18 AAA program and now takes another significant step in his hockey journey.
“On behalf of our entire organization, I want to congratulate Sebastien, Josh and Landyn on this tremendous accomplishment,” said Darren Young, General Manager of the Woodstock Navy Vets. “Being selected by an OHL organization is a reflection of the countless hours these players have dedicated to their development and the commitment they have shown to their craft. We are incredibly proud of each of them.”
While draft day is a special moment for the players, it is also a celebration of the families, coaches, teammates, trainers and supporters who have helped them reach this milestone.
“The players receive the recognition on draft day, but there are so many people behind the scenes who have played a role in helping them get to this point,” added Young. “We want to congratulate and thank their families and everyone who has supported their development along the way. This achievement belongs to all of them as well.”
The Navy Vets are excited to welcome all three players to Woodstock and look forward to supporting them as they continue to develop both on and off the ice. Their selections are a testament to the calibre of young talent joining the organization and further reinforce the Navy Vets’ commitment to providing an environment where players can pursue their goals and reach their full potential.
As the next chapter of their hockey careers begins, the entire Navy Vets organization is proud to be part of their journey and looks forward to helping them continue to grow as players and young men.
