The Woodstock Navy Vets are proud to announce the signing of 2010-born defenceman Sebastien Fortin, marking the first player signing announcement of the organization’s GOHL era as preparations continue for the club’s inaugural season in the Greater Ontario Hockey League.
A Woodstock native, Fortin joins the Navy Vets after an impressive season with the Vaughan Kings U16 AAA program and enters the upcoming OHL Priority Selection as one of the province’s top-ranked prospects. Currently ranked 55th on the Consensus Ontario Top 100 list, Fortin has established himself as one of the premier young defencemen in Ontario.
A skilled, puck-moving blueliner, Fortin brings an exciting combination of skating ability, hockey sense, and offensive upside. His ability to transition the puck, create offence from the back end, and impact the game in all three zones has made him a highly regarded prospect heading into the OHL Draft.
For the Navy Vets, the signing represents another important step in building a competitive roster for the organization’s inaugural GOHL campaign while also highlighting the strength of hockey talent being developed within the Woodstock community.

The Navy Vets’ recruiting efforts continue as the organization prepares for its first season in the GOHL, with additional player announcements expected in the coming weeks.
